Okay, so after much contemplation and thought, I have come to a conclusion: I don't care if anyone else likes my art or not.  I like it and that's all that matters.  However I don't know why I was so foolish as to have not seen this before.  Sometimes all the logical thought can get in the way of creativity and being true to one's self.  Damn self conflict!  Anyway, I will be scanning stuff in and posting.  Thanks for the patience again.  And to those I'm watching, I hope you can look at my stuff and perhaps give tips or critiques.  But please don't be too harsh.  ^ ^!

Hey, it's been a while since I've been on here, although I try to keep an eye on the watches I have going on.  I'm still working (if anyone out there even knows me  ^ ^) but have a few problems which, for some reason, I feel like expressing on here as usual.  I have been looking around and have to admit, I'm a bit intimidated.  Things have changed a lot since I was last on DA, and, well...I'm not as good as I originally thought.  I'm not just humbled, but a bit scared to put my work up.  I guess I'm double guessing whether I should put my work up on here or not.  I've no formal training in photoshop, and I'm sure almost everyone on DA is the same, but I'm not sure how to better myself in it other than practice and critique.  The first piece I put on here was done in about two hours some time ago.  I guess, if there's anyone out there even reading this, I'm wondering if anyone has any advice.  I'm kind of lost.

You know, I was just surfing the site and I noticed something.  For a community as free and open as I was told, tolerant of others and their ideas, I'm finding that's not necessarily true.  When I left DA the last time, there was nothing bad really said about what anyone liked or believed, only a gentle poking fun at unless it was in a chat or something.  But now, it's downright vicious.  For example, I was just looking up anthros.  First of all, I know many people out there are into them for a whole other reason.  I'm talking to those of you who like the more "suggestive material".  (raises an eyebrow)  Nothing wrong with that.  In fact, most of you censor it or put a warning on it.  And for that, I thank you.  That's a genuine courtesy that I appreciate you taking the time for.  However, the people on the other side of the fence, these...fur-haters?  Or whatever you call them, are offensive and downright rude.  Most of the material I've seen is profane, offensive, and shows a high intolerance for anything they don't like.  For this reason, I ask, why?  Why is it that many people censor their furry things (granted not all of them), yet you can't censor or put a warning on your profane, critical opinions?  It seems to me that you allow this anger/hatred/disgust/whatever to cloud your judgment of what is common courtesy and tolerance, and instead allow this perverted hate to infect the site with your negativity.  This doesn't just go for the fur-haters either.  This goes to everyone.  If you don't like it, feel free to say so, but why not say it with a neutral (it doesn't even need to be positive or happy) tone and leave it alone?  If someone persists, report them.  Feeding ill will and hate isn't what this site is about, it's about sharing.  Now, if everyone wants to share their respective hatreds, here's a few things that people should remember what came about due to provoked hatred from one group to another:

How about the Armenian Genocide, the Inquisition, the Trail of Tears, the Crusades, and many other examples.  I don't want to risk stirring the pot myself, so I'll leave it as a short list.  (I decided to edit out the more infamous ones...)  The point is, if you don't like it, do what your mom taught you: if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything.  After all, even if you don't like it, unless its harming another individual (like human sacrifice or something), why are you so concerned?  Ignore it.  Hey, if you think they're idiots for what they believe, let them believe it.  You're not stuck in it.

Just to be doubly-clear: I'm not against or for either side, just saying that the negativity needs to stop.  Please.


(Oh, and to any of those people who try to look at my first deviation, which I couldn't get to come up, I know what you may be thinking by reading the title.  No, it has nothing to do with pokemon sex.  Actually, it's a cosplay joke.  No sexual anything going on.  I just wanted to give it an interesting title and it's the first one to come to mind.  If you want proof of my claim, I would be more than happy to put it up if I could figure out the new submission system.  In fact, I would appreciate the help.  As I stated, it has been quite some time since I've been back to DA.  Sorry for any confusion.)

     I was very angry when I wrote this post and sorry if I offended anyone.  I look at stuff like this later when I've calmed down (or come back to my page to question things).  It's very blunt and harsh, but I saw a couple things that really made me mad.  I hate the "F" word.  I don't mean f**k, I mean f*g.  I really, REALLY hate that word.  It's crass, mean, and just wrong.  It's like the "C" word for women.  I just don't like it and I see red.  So, I know people have differing opinions, but, I guess I just wish that people wouldn't hate so much.  Hate doesn't do anything for anyone.  I'm not saying I'm above hate, every human is susceptible after all, but as I've found, it really doesn't help.  And to publish a hateful piece of art, music, etc. is just perpetuating the hate and intolerance of each other.  We can all get along if we could just learn tolerance.  You don't have to accept another way of life, but just tolerate it.  Besides, they aren't hurting you.  Again, sorry about before but when I write out of anger, I tend to be terse.
